While honey bees generally find corn pollen to be toxic or at best, so low in nutrients as to be useless, corn pollen is collected by some tropical social bees - Trigona in this case - that are specialists at harvesting very low quality food types. Here the bee is unambiguously a visitor, and unwanted visitor, and a pollen predator - never going anywhere near the female flowers.
