I want to finish with three slides. This is the classical map of a conserved wildland, the ACG in northwestern Costa Rica in this case. The green and blue area is about the size of the greater city of Philadelphia with all of its suburbs. The line through the middle is the Interamerican Highway (5.5 days to Chicago, steady driving all the way). But there is another way to map a conservation area.
