The seeds used in the experiment described in image DHJanzen100569.jpg above (plus some others). The three brown ones are Lonchocarpus costaricensis. The four smallest are wild lima beans (Phaseolus lunatus, Fabaceae). Three black beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) are in the upper left. There are five ovoid brown Enterolobium cyclocarpum seeds, and one large Hymenaea courbaril (Fabaceae) seed. The two white beads are part of the fake seeds use to study the Liomys learning process.
