Our old friend Liomys (see earlier lectures) may take the seeds directly from a Hymenaea pod opened by an agouti. While this forest mouse generally caches the seeds in its tunnel and later kills them, they may also move a few large seeds on the forest floor and thus be a seed disperser as well as a seed predator. And then there is the owl that catches the mouse that has the seed in its pouch, and carries to some distant tree, dispersing the seed in the process. Nature can get very complex if the details are followed.
