The Manilkara seeds in image DHJanzen100836.jpg above ALL suffered one fate - death. The seeds were clearly ground up by the peccary molars (in contrast to the gentle treatment received when eaten/swallowed by coyotes). The irregular shaped fragments in this image are all Manilkara chicle seed coats. For Manilkara, the peccary is a seed predator.
