Part of one of the Apis melifera colonies in DHJanzen10052.jpg above. Oh how very unalarmed and oh how very unprotected the bee hive owner. Such familiarity and proximity to an Apis dorsata colony would be lethal (and if someone were this close to a wild Apis dorsata colony, that someone probably has in mind stealing all the honey the colony has - see image DHJanzen100454.jpg below).
