Use the high resolution image to examine the water beaded up on these leaves of a swamp-living neverwet in the Okefenokee Swamp. When water forms a bead this spherical on a surface, you know that the wax on the leaf surface is extremely water-repellant, which is all part of being able to survive in a habitat with too much water.
