The streets of Philadelphia are lined with gingko trees. Most are males because the city weeds out all the females it notices, because people do not like the juicy smelly fruits the carpet the ground in the fall. Here, a leafless female gingko shows its clusters of yellow small plum-sized fruits. This has been going on for more than 100 million years.
