Another sea-dispersed plant for which the island really is not an island so much as just another piece of habitat fragment to visit is the sea bean Canavalia maritima (Fabaceae). Here this beach vine creeps down the beach on Eniwetok Atoll, where the US conducted its early atomic bomb tests.
