This Ugandan civet (Viveriidae - an old world family that also contains the mongoose) is a medium-sized African rainforest omnivorous animal that eats a lot of fruit. This particular individual was a roadkill. This species eats a lot of coffee berries, though it is not clear how many of those it gets from coffee plantations, how many from wild escapes from coffee plantations, and how many from truly wild coffee.

Incidentally, just above the right groin of this animal there is a sticky fruit tangled in the fur - external seed dispersal of a very different kind from that of the seeds inside the animal.
